Indonesia Airport Tax
Most Indonesian airports still require departure tax despite many travelers domestic or international would have preferred if it is included in the air tickets instead to avoid the hassle but for now the government has yet to implement that. So do take note to prepare adequate amount of Indonesian rupiah to leave the country hassle free while flying out.
Indonesia Airport Tax – International flights departing from:
CGK, DPS, SUB: IDR 200,000.-;
BTJ: IDR 115,000.-;
HLP: IDR 80.000.-;
AMQ, BIK, BPN, BTH, JOG, LOP, MDC, MES, SOC, TIM, UPG: IDR 75,000.-;
BDO, PDG, PKU, PLM, PNK: IDR 60,000.-;
KOE, TNJ: IDR 50,000.-;
Airport Tax on Domestic flights departing from:
CGK: IDR 40,000.-
DPS: IDR 30,000.-;
all other airports vary from IDR 13,000.- to IDR to 30,000.-

All payments are made at the airport on departure.
Exemption on Indonesia Airport Tax:
- Children under 2 years, provided not occupying a seat in the aircraft.
- Transit passengers in possession of through tickets and continuing their journey the same day (not applicable in Jakarta unless passengers stay within customs area/ transit room).
- Officials on duty – with a travel order – of the Directorate General of Air Communications.
- Official guests of the Indonesian government.
- Crew members.
Airport tax on international flights departing from DPS is now IDR200,000:-
