Is Indonesian Airlines Safe?
Yes in the past there were quite a number of safety concerns floating around Indonesian Airlines but lately many of the above airlines have buck up their operations.

Dear Rachel, I’m a solo traveler and next August I will be in Indonesia for a backpacking trip around Kalimantan.
I’m arranging my trip independently, but I have some concerns about the internal flight companies. Where possible I have booked Garuda flights, but to reach some places I have to make a different choice. For example I want to go to Pankalan Bun from Jakarta, but the only companies which cover this route are Trigana Air Service and Kalstar Aviation. What do you think about? From your experience which one is better organized? And above all, which one has the better safety quality and service airline? Which one would you chose?
In the web there aren’t clear information about this issue.
Thank you very much!
Marta
